Welcome!

My name is Dr. Patrice Mann, MD, MPH.

I am a Harvard and Emory-trained, board-certified, adult psychiatrist, offering psychotherapy and medication management for Georgia and Massachusetts residents in this hybrid practice. I take a holistic approach to care, and create an individual plan of treatment for each person, combining psychotherapy techniques, lifestyle modifications, and medications, as necessary. We can work together to better understand your unique challenges, values, and goals, and use that information to guide our decision making and action plans.

Along with providing individual care, I have a background in health communication, and offer workshops, lectures, and written pieces on topics related to mental health and wellness.

Unique Practice Features:

Combined treatment.

This means the ability to receive psychotherapy and medication management from the same person. Many people find this more convenient than seeing 2 separate people.  This option can also be helpful for people who would prefer establishing a better relationship with their psychiatrist, or people who are on the fence about taking medications and would prefer to spend more time discussing medication options, while also implementing new coping skills.

Wholistic Approach to Care.

We can also integrate elements of health coaching into our work to help you actually carry out any lifestyle changes you wish to make. This means that I go beyond making a recommendation to “eat healthier, exercise more, and meditate,” and actually spend time together discussing options in more depth, troubleshooting what makes certain health behaviors difficult, and tailoring a plan specifically for you.  Maybe your version of daily physical activity will look more like tending to your garden or walking a pet, as opposed to attending strenuous Crossfit class? Or maybe something about the mindfulness tapes isn’t clicking with you, but mindful movement would be more beneficial? This is about YOU! Our goal is to figure out what works for your mind, your body, your life.

White Sheet

“Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain.”
-Kahlil Gibran, Lebanese-American writer
